Early Life:
Daryl Hotchkiss was born and raised Calgary, Alberta. His father was a surgeon and his mother was a homemaker. His mother would die 3 years after his birth from a brain aneurism, causing his father to become depressed. His father would beat him, and locked him in the basement. Daryl would attend James Fowler Highschool, achieving above average grades and joining the hockey team.
Post Secondary:
Daryl Hotchkiss would leave his home at the age of 17 and attended the University of Calgary on a hockey scholarship, however his grades dropped considerably. Hotchkiss was threatened with expulsion when in his second year, he was involved with a fighting ring that subsequently left 2 students in the hospital. He was able to escape punishment because he played on the hockey team. In his last year he would become engaged to his wife Marie Dubois, who originated from Quebec.

Daryl Hotchkiss was served as a warrant officer in Somalia, and participated in the UN support mission to aid US forces in at the Battle of Mogadishu also known as Blackhawk Down. Daryl Hotchkiss's unit would participate in multiple support and humanitarian missions, and he would volunteer for JTF2 training in 1999 4 years after the UN withdrew.
Invasion of Iraq:
Daryl Hotchkiss would now play a more crucial role in Iraq, eliminating enemy VIPs and performing sabotage. During a sabotage mission he was setting up charges, however a charge prematurely detonated wounding Hotchkiss. Hotchkiss was hospitalized but made a quick recovery, returning to the field after a month. Upon his return he would be sent on a mission to blow up bridge, where he would witness a friendly vehicle get taken out by a car bomb. Once he returned home, he would have his son Daniel. Daryl Hotchkiss would continue to perform missions behind enemy lines, proving to be a very efficient and strategic operative. John Merlin: Now, can you please describe your latest mission
Daryl Hotchkiss: Yes, sir. We were supposedly raiding an Afghan military facility, however
[Daryl pauses and sighs]
Daryl Hotchkiss: It was a massacre, we blew through the blast door then we saw it. It was some ungodly creature held in a giant vat. Its eyes were all seeing, its teeth were razors and the noise it made—-
[Daryl Hotchkiss shudders]
Daryl Hotchkiss: That noise, it was… Terrifying, it sounded like the screams of hundreds of people. The creature looked at us. Then some idiot panicked and shot the glass.
[Daryl Hotchkiss begin sobbing and becomes indecipherable]
John Merlin: Everything is ok, please continue.
[Daryl Hotchkiss would sob for another 30 seconds]
Daryl Hotchkiss: Ok, I… I lost so many friends. That thing its literally ripped them to ribbons, so many of them dead. I saw it… I saw it all!!!
[Daryl Hotchkiss flips his chair]

Daryl Hotchkiss: That mission brought out the worst in us… at the end… They massacred them… After we contained that beast… We killed all the facility workers… Our sniper was seen beating an old man to death… With a canteen… We murdered them all… And I am guilty… Now please take me into custody.

Time with the SCP Foundation:
Hotchkiss would train as a security guard but would be transferred to NU-7, rising to the rank of captain. He would be involved in multiple SCP recontainment missions and would participate in multiple battles against hostile GOIs. Hotchkiss proved to be very useful during a recovery of SCP-939, however Hotchkiss would display a change in attitude and would shoot himself.

Hotchkiss would return to his barracks and would shoot himself with his M4 Carbine, using 5.56x45 mm ball ammunition. He shot himself through the mouth, with bullet fragments being found in the wall.
