Overview

Born In Liverpool, England, Richard was an only child. His parents weren't of the highest social class, and the Income was low In the family, so Richard was sent out to make money for his family. After picking up the guitar and warming his vocal cords, Richard had begun to play in an obscure underground cover band. In his free time, he would write his own music, usually about the corrupt social life of England at the time. After being kicked out of their house, Richard's dad decided to move to America, to start a new life (2002).

His father was a very abusive figure who didn't treat anyone in his family with the respect they deserved. On multiple occasions, he physically abused both his wife and Richard. This influenced him heavily since as a child, he didn't have many friends, which gave him the idea to just bottle his emotions instead of talking them out with others. On top of that, he still was dealing with the corrupt side of living in England at the time and living in Liverpool, he saw some of the worst of it, especially growing up around the punk scene, but rejected it as he felt a more peaceful approach was necessary. All this caused him to pour his emotion into his music, and the music he wrote had feel and emotion to it because it was what he was feeling.

Richard's parents supported his new education in the U.S.; with that support, Richard was the head of his class, with a GPA of 4.3. Soon after graduating high school, he was accepted into Harvard for a degree in Criminal Justice (2006-2009). After graduating from Harvard with a Criminal Justice degree under his belt, Richard continued working on his music but was quickly sidetracked by an Invitation to the army, and a one-way ticket to Basic Training. Richard had taken a mental and physical toll from the Basic Training but still continued, as he was still trying to make money for his family.

Soon after his BT was over and he was In the Army, he was invited to join the Military Police. His first offer, he declined, as he was looking for a bit more money, but was soon offered a part in the Criminal Investigation Division, where he accepted, and took his 5-month OSUT. During his time in the CID, he had quite quickly climbed the ranks. After doing a few smaller investigations on to corrupt individuals in multiple other commands, he was soon hired to look into corruption within the Training and Education Command's Drill Sergeant School. About a year after becoming a Staff Sergeant and still working with CID to tackle some other big scandals within Army Commands, he was honorably discharged from the army.

Soon after his discharge, he was looking for a new source of income. He was still making a decent bit from his band's self-titled LP and a small tour. This album was all him. All his emotions are put into a 2 sided vinyl. Each song had emotion and feeling from the corruption of his childhood to the struggles of his father, and even the problems of money, wealth, and the economy. Yet with a good income from his band's promotional tour, he was still lacking a real source of flowing income, but that's when the foundation approached him, more specifically the Department of Internal Security

He was interested in what the foundation had to offer, and when he learned about the DIS and their interests in Richard, he was sold on the fact that his past experience dealing with investigations into Court-Martials and investigations of corrupt Divisions/Commands fit well with what DIS does. One of his best and most well-known operations was a bust on the corruption with the DSS side of TECOM, and at the time, he did a lot of the investigation. Along with seeing the corruption of England as a kid, he knew the problems with it, and how it could easily be fixed if they tried. He was tempted to get into a political job because of his knowledge about what was lacking from the current government, but decided against it, as he didn't want to be a target for opposing parties. The DIS at Site-21 heard about Richard, mainly the work with CID to investigate TECOM corruption. They saw his skills with corruption and knew he'd be a great fit for the DIS. Richard knew right away that the DIS would fit well with the work he's done in the past, and wished to apply for it, which is exactly what he did.
